The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold the Engineering Services Examination (ESE), 2023 on 19th February 2023 for the recruitment of various Group-A and Group-B (approx. 327 (including PWD-11)) Sarkari Government Rojgar Naukri Vacancy posts of Engineers in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering disciplines under Indian Engineering Service Examination 2023. (Advertisement No. 01/2023‐ENGG.)
The Engineering Services Recruitment Examination 2023 will be held at various centres across the country.

Eligibility for Engineering Services Examination 2023
- Age: Not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as of 01/01/2023. The upper age is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.
- Educational Qualification: Candidate must hold a degree in Engineering or equivalent OR passed Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India) OR passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India) OR passed Associate Membership Examination Parts II and III/Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India; OR passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London held after November 1959. Provided that a candidate applying for the posts of Indian Naval Armament Service (Electronics Engineering Posts) and Engineer Group A in Wireless Planning & Coordination Wing/ Monitoring Organisation may possess M.Sc. Degree or it’s equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject. Candidates who qualify on the results of the written part of the examination will be summoned for a personality test.
- Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in the recruitment notice.

Application Fee
You can pay the application fee for the ESE IES exam by visiting any branch of the SBI. The application fee for the UPSC ESE exam is as follows:
- Other Candidates: Rs. 200/-
- Women, SC, ST, and PWD candidates: Exempted
How To Apply for UPSC Engineering Services Examination 2023?
Suitable and desirable Engineering candidates should Apply Online in the prescribed format at the UPSC recruitment website from 14/09/2022 to 04/10/2022 at https://upsconline.nic.in for UPSC Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2023. The online Applications can be withdrawn from 12/10/2022 to 18/10/2022 till 6.00 PM after which the link will be disabled.
- Step 1: Visit the official website of UPSC to apply online for the IES exam and click on the exam notifications tab.
- Step 2: Click on the apply online link for the UPSC ESE Prelims exam.
- Step 3: Click on Part I of the application form to obtain the registration number.
- Step 4: Log in with your Registration Number and date of birth to complete the ESE exam application form.
- Step 5: Upload the required documents.
- Step 6: Pay the required amount of the application fee as per your category.
- Step 7: Tick the declaration and submit the UPSC ESE online form.
- Step 8: Take a printout of the application form for further use.
