Selection Process for SAIL Vacancy 2024
Selection for the positions will be conducted through a Computer Based Test (CBT) and Interviews.
Computer Based Test (CBT):
Format: The CBT will comprise 150 multiple-choice questions divided into two sections:
- 50 questions on Domain / Professional Knowledge.
- 100 questions on the Aptitude Test.
Minimum Qualifying Marks: Candidates need to attain a minimum of 50 percentile score for Unreserved posts and 40 percentile score for SCs/ST/OBC(NCL) posts.
Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview based on merit, at a ratio of 1:3 for each post/discipline. If multiple candidates achieve the same cut-off marks, all will be called for the interview.
Interview:
Qualifying Marks: There is no specific qualifying mark for the interview if CBT is conducted.
Final Selection: A merit list will be prepared by combining the marks of the CBT and Interview, with a weightage of 80:20 respectively.
Tie-Breaker: In case of a tie in the cut-off marks, the candidate with higher marks in the eligibility qualification will be selected.
Selection Criteria for Interview Only:
Qualifying Marks: Minimum qualifying marks will be 50% for unreserved posts and 40% for posts reserved for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD candidates.
Application Fee for SAIL Recruitment 2024
To apply for the positions of Manager or Deputy Manager, candidates are required to submit an application fee. General and OBC candidates need to pay ₹700 as the application fee, along with a ₹200 processing fee. However, SC/ST/PwBD candidates are exempt from the application fee but are required to pay ₹200 to complete the form submission process before the deadline.
