Educational Qualification

Age Limit for Trade Apprentices in SECR Jobs:

SECR Trade Apprentices Selection Process:

  1. Technician (1): 24 vacancies (SC-04, ST-03, OBC-04, EWS-02, UR-PwBD-01 (HH), UR-10), Age: 28 years as of 01/03/2022, Pay Scale: Pay Level-2 ₹19900-63200/-
  2. Technical Assistant: 11 vacancies (SC-02, OBC-03, EWS-01, UR-PwBD-01 (VH), UR-04), Age: 28 years as of 01/03/2022, Pay Scale: Pay Level-6 ₹35400-112400/-

₹100/- to to be paid through online mode along with application format. SC/ST/PwBD/Women/Other Gender/CSIR Employees/Ex-Servicemen are exempted from payment of application fee.

Age Limit:

Upper Age Limit not exceeding (as on 01.03.2022): 28 yrs

Essential Educational Qualifications:

i. Secondary School Certificate (SSC)/ 10th Standard/ SSC or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and ITI certificate or National/ State trade certificate in Refrigeration & Air conditioning. Or SSC/ 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and 2 years full time experience as an apprentice trainee from a recognized Institution in Refrigeration & Air conditioning trade.

ii. Or SSC/ 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and 3 years of work experience in Refrigeration & Air conditioning trade in a Ministry/ Department/ Organization/ Public sector undertaking/ Autonomous Body under Government of India/ State/ UT.

iii. Secondary School Certificate (SSC)/ 10th Standard/ SSC or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and ITI certificate or National/ State trade certificate in Electrician. Or SSC/ 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and 2 years full time experience as an apprentice trainee from a recognized Institution in Electrician trade.

iv. Or SSC/ 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and 3 years of work experience in Electrician trade in a Ministry/ Department/ Organization/ Public sector undertaking/ Autonomous Body under Government of India/ State/ UT

v. Secondary School Certificate (SSC)/ 10th Standard/ SSC or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and ITI certificate or National/ State trade certificate in Plumber. Or SSC/ 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and 2 years full time experience as an apprentice trainee from a recognized Institution in Plumber trade.

Job Requirement:

i. Repair and maintenance of Refrigeration and Air condition equipment such as window AC, split ACs, water coolers, desert coolers, refrigerators etc. Operation and maintenance of Central AC Plants, Package type AC units. Technical support in electrical division of the Institute.

ii. Repair and maintenance of electrical installations; Repair and maintenance of electrical control of workshop machines, water pumps, starter controls. Operation and maintenance of switchgears. LT /HT overhead lines repairs and maintenance. Technical support to the electrical division of the Institute.

iii. Normal and emergent plumbing and related work (even in odd hours) in Institute and Colony. Repair and maintenance works for all Job complaints of Plumbing/CI/Drainage and sewerage lines of Institute/ Colony. Plumbering support to the civil division of the Institute.

iv. Construction related works such as foundation works, stone and brick masonry, Reinforcement Cement Concrete (RCC) work, flooring, water proofing treatment & different type of plaster works, etc. Building construction support to the civil division of the Institute.

v. Machining of Jobs by Milling, Turing & Grinding Manufacturing of blanking die set for square/ round/ rectangular/ elliptical components. Construct a piercing blanking tool. Manufacturing of fixtures. Technical support to the central workshop division of the Institute.

Selection Procedure

1. The candidates as recommended by the Screening Committee will be invited for Trade Test. Those who qualify in the Trade Test will be invited for a competitive written examination. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the competitive written examination.

2. For these posts, there will be three papers (Paper-I, Paper-II & Paper-III). Paper-II & Paper-III will be evaluated only for those candidates who secure the minimum threshold marks (to be determined by the Selection Committee) in Paper-I. The Final merit list will be prepared only on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidates in Paper-II & Paper-III.

3. Selection Procedure for the Technical Assistant

The candidates as recommended by the Screening Committee will be invited for Trade Test. Those who qualify in the Trade Test will be invited for a competitive written examination. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the competitive written examination.

4. Mode of Examination for Technical Assistant

[Erstwhile Group III(1) & III(2)] For these posts, there will be three papers (Paper-I, Paper-II & Paper-III). Paper-II & Paper-III will be evaluated only for those candidates who secure the minimum threshold marks (to be determined by the Selection Committee) in Paper-I. The Final merit list will be prepared only on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidates

RRC CR Apprentice Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria set by Railway Recruitment Cell for the Apprentice posts. The eligibility criteria are shown as below:

Educational Qualification

  • The candidate must have passed 10th class/Matriculation/SSC or its equivalent (under 10 + 2 system) from a recognized Board with a minimum of 50% marks (aggregate).
  • The candidate must have passed ITI in relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT recognized by the Government of India.

Age Limit (as of 17/01/2022)

The candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age as of 17-01-2022.

NOTE: Upper Age Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC and 10 years for PwD/Ex-Serviceman

Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) Limited invites online applications from qualified and experienced candidates for appointment of the following various Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Personnel (Non-Executives) Govt Job vacancy positions to be filled up on direct recruitment basis for a period of five years initially on contractual basis for Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project Phase-I, Phase-II & Surat Project. (Advertisement No. GMRC/HR/RECT/O&M/12‐2021/01).

Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) Limited (earlier known as Metro – Link Express for Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad  Company Limited (MEGA)), jointly and equally owned by Government of India and Government of Gujarat is entrusted with the responsibility of implementation of Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project Phase-I, Phase-II and Surat Phase-I.

GMRC O&M Personnel Recruitment 2021-22 Vacancies

  1. Station Controller/ Train Operator (SC/TO): 71 vacancies (UR-57, ST-14), Age: 18-28 years, Pay Scale: ₹33000-100000
  2. Customer Relations Assistant (CRA): 11 vacancies (UR-08, SEBC/OBC-03), Age: 18-28 years, Pay Scale: ₹25000-80000
  3. Junior Engineer: 03 vacancies (UR-02, ST-01), Age: 18-28 years, Pay Scale: ₹25000-80000
  4. Maintainer: 33 vacancies (UR-33), Age: 18-25 years, Pay Scale: ₹20000-60000

Application Fee

₹600/- to be paid through online mode only along with application submission. SEBC/OBC candidates are required to pay a non-refundable fee of ₹300/- and SC/ST candidates are required to pay a non-refundable fee of ₹150/- (inclusive of bank charges plus service tax).
