The West Bengal Central School Service Commission will soon issue a notification for the recruitment of WBCSSC Assistant Teachers and WBCSSC Headmaster in Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools. The commission has released new information regarding the recruitment of Assistant Teachers and Headmaster/Headmistresses. Assistant Teachers will be recited in Secondary and Higher Secondary school and Headmasters/Headmistresses will be recited in Secondary, Higher Secondary, and Junior High schools.

According to the official notice, “all relevant details regarding the selection process, the application submission mode and dates, Application fees, mode of payment of Application fees, date of the written test, method of the written examination to be conducted, the counseling process, and a tentative number of vacancies, etc. will be provided in a brochure accompanying the advertisement.”

Salary Details

  • Assistant teachers : Rs.35000/- approx.
  • Headmaster/Headmistresses : Rs.57000/- approx.

WBSSC Age limit:

Participants of WBSSC Assistant Teacher Jobs through West-Bengal CSSC must attain age limit:

  • Minimum: 20 years.
  • Maximum: 40 years.

Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates should Possess Senior Secondary (Class XII or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks from recognized Board. Graduate with Degree/ Diploma in Art and Craft from any recognized University/ any educational Institution affiliated to any University.
  • Assistant teachers: B.ed with degree /12th pass
  • Headmaster/Headmistresses : PG with experience ***Refer Notification for detailed qualification requirements.

Selection Process

  • State Level Selection Test (written examination) conducted by the Central Commission.
  • Academic and professional qualifications and personality tests from interview list.

For Group 1

  • Assistant Teacher for Upper Primary Level in Schools
  • Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET)
  • Main Examination (Written Examination and Weightage)

For Group 2,3,4 and 5 (WBSSC Assistant Teacher Class 5-8, 9th-10th, and 11th-12th, Physical Education and Work Education)
