Method of selection for BSF Constables (Tradesman) Recruitment 2023

The recruitment of Constable (Tradesman) 2023 in BSF will comprise of Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Documentation, Trade Test, Written Examination and Detailed Medical Examination (DME).

The Written Examination will be of 100 marks containing 100 questions (qualifying marks 35% for General Category/EWS & Ex. Servicemen and 33% for SC/ST/OBC) will consist of only OMR based objective type multiple choice questions to be answered using a Blue or Black ball point pen only. The standard of the question will commensurate with the knowledge expected from a class-10th pass candidate

Candidates are to pay ₹100/- as an examination fee plus ₹47.20 service charges levied by Common Service Centre (CSC). However, SC/ST/Female/Ex-serviceman and BSF candidates are exempted from payment of examination to be paid online through Net banking of any bank, Credit/Debit Card of any bank, Nearest authorised Common Service Centre.

Method of selection for BSF Vacancy 2023

For all the vacancies selection will be based on a written test. Written Exams will be conducted at the various Examination Centres. There will be one composite paper for two hours duration. Question papers will be Objective Type with multiple choices on an OMR-based answer sheets.

Border Security Force (BSF), a central armed police force invites applications through online mode from male and female Indian citizens for the following various Group-B Engineering Setup Non-Gazetted Non-Ministerial Govt Job vacancy posts of Inspector, Sub-Inspector, and Junior Engineers in BSF Engineering setup in 2022 for the vacancy year 2020-21 in the disciplines of Architecture, Works and Electrical Engineering.

  1. Inspector (Architect): 01 vacancies (UR), Pay Scale: Pay Level-7 ₹44900-142400/-
  2. Sub-Inspector (Work): 57 vacancies (UR-24, EWS-05, OBC-16, SC-08, ST-04) (Ex.SM-05), Pay Scale: Pay Level-06 ₹35400-112400/-
  3. Junior Engineer/Sub-Inspector (Electrical): 32 vacancies (UR-16, EWS-04, OBC-04, SC-05, ST-03) (Ex.SM-03), Pay Scale: Pay Level-06 ₹35400-112400/-

Application Fee

For all the vacancies selection will be based on a written tests in their respective disciplines of 2 hours duration and of 100 marks having 100 questions along with physical standards test and physical efficiency test for selected candidates + Document Verification + Medical Examination
