Online Applications in the prescribed format are invited by Indian Navy from unmarried male candidates who have passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent examination with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English (either in class Xth or class XIIth) and have appeared in JEE (Main) – 2022 to join the prestigious Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala for a four year B.Tech. degree course under the 10+2 Cadet (Technical) B.Tech. Cadet Entry Scheme into January 2023 batch, get B.Tech. degree and become Permanent Commission Officer in Indian Navy
Indian Navy 10+2 (Technical) Cadet (B.Tech.) Jan 2023 Entry Details
- Vacancies: 36 posts (Education Branch-05, Executive & Technical Branch-31)
- Age: Between 17 to 19 and 1/2 years (candidates to be born between 02 July 2003 and 01 January 2006 both dates inclusive)
- Educational Qualifications: Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 pattern) or it’s equivalent from University/ Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English either in class X or class XII.
- Physical Standards: Height and Weight: Minimum height Male – 157 cms, with correlated weight. Eye Sight – The minimum acceptable standard for distant vision 6/12, 6/12 correctable to 6/6 with glasses. Should not be colour/night blind.
- Starting Pay Scale: Pay Level-10 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix ₹56100-11070 (Earlier ₹15600-39100 grade pay ₹5400 plus MSP ₹6000/-)

Navy 10+2 Technical Cadet Selection by JEE (Main)
Candidates should have appeared for JEE (Main) – 2021 (for B.E./B.Tech.) examination. The call will be made on the basis of JEE (Main) – 2022 All India Rank.
Selection Procedure
- IHQ MoD(Navy) reserves the right to fix the cut off for shortlisting of applications for SSB based on JEE (Main) All India Common Rank List (CRL) – 2022. All candidates are required to fill their Rank as per Common Rank List (CRL) in the application. SSB interviews for short listed candidates will be scheduled at Bangalore / Bhopal/ Kolkata/ Visakhapatnam from sept – Oct 2022.
- Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB interview on their e-mail or through SMS as provided by candidates in their application form. Candidates are advised not to change mobile number and e-mail id till the selection process is complete.
- Details of SSB procedure are available on Indian Navy official website.
- Change of SSB venue for interview is not permissible under any circumstances.
Training
1. The training is scheduled to commence in January 2023.
2. Candidates recommended by the SSBs and declared medically fit, will be selected for training in Indian Naval Academy Ezhimala, Kerala, based on All India Merit and number of vacancies. All India Merit will be prepared as per SSB marks.
3. Selected Candidates will be inducted as Cadets for the four year B. Tech Course in applied Electronics & Communication Engineering (for Executive Branch), Mechanical Engineering (for Engineering Branch including Naval Architect specialisation) or Electronics & Communication Engineering (for Electrical Branch) as per Naval requirements. On completion of the course, B.Tech Degree will be awarded by the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
