India Post Madhya Pradesh Postal Circle has invited applications for 44 Govt Job vacancies in posts like Postal Assistant / Sorting Assistant, MTS (Erstwhile Group ‘D’) & Postman for the direct recruitment of meritorious sportsperson from open market under sports quota. The notification has released on 25th October 2021  for MP Post Office Recruitment 2021 against Notification no. Rectt/4-48/Sports quota/2021 on official website.

MP Post Office Recruitment 2021 – Vacancy

Total 44 vacancies are open under MP Post Office Recruitment 2021. Below table explains number of posts under each department in detail.

MP Post Office Recruitment 2021 – Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant

• 12th Pass from a recognized University/Board.
• Candidate must have a Certificate of Basic Computer Training from a recognized Computer Training Institute before the issuance of appointment letter. Computer training Certificates from Central Government/State Government/University /Boards etc. will also be acceptable for this purpose.

Multi Tasking Staff (MTS)

• Candidate must have passed 10th standard from a recognized board/institute.
• Knowledge of local language (Hindi) at least up to 10th standard.

Postman/Mail Guard

• Candidate must have passed 12th standard from a recognized board.
• Knowledge of local language (Hindi) at least up to 10th standard.
• Candidate must have a Certificate of Basic Computer Training from a recognized Computer Training Institute before the issuance of appointment letter.
• Valid Driving License of a two-wheeler or light vehicle. Physically handicapped persons are exempted from the possession of license.

Sports Qualification

• Sportsmen who have represented a state or the country in the National or international competition in the sports/ games.
• Sportsmen who have represented their University in the inter University tournaments conducted by the inter-University Sports Board in the sports/ games.
• Sportsmen who have represented the state schools team in the National Sports/ games for schools conducted by the All India School Games Federation in the sports/ games.
• Sportsmen who have been awarded National Awards in Physical Efficiency under the National Physical Efficiency Drive.

Age Limit (As on 03/12/2021)

The age limit and age relaxation norms are defined in the table given below:

Selection Process

Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of educational and sports qualification subject to fulfillment of other prescribed conditions :

1. Sportspersons who have represented the country on International Level with clearance of Department of Youth Affairs and Sports.
2. Candidates who have represented their State/UT in Senior/Junior Level National Championship by different Sports Federations and won medals up to third place.
3. Candidates who have won Inter-University Competitions and won medals up to third place.
4. Candidates who have participated in the State School Sport competitions and won medals up to third place.
5. Candidates who have been awarded National Award in Physical Efficiency under National Physical Efficiency Drive.
6. Candidates who have participated in International/State/UT/Inter-University/School but could not win any medals in the same order of preference.

In case of tie, following rules must be take into consideration:

1. Candidates who have won more medals or secured a higher position.
2. Candidates who are older in age will be placed higher.
3. If tie still persists, name of candidate in alphabetical order will be followed.
