Eligibility for UPSC ESE Recruitment 2024
Age Criteria: Candidates must be at least 21 years old and not more than 30 years old as of January 1, 2024. Certain relaxations in the upper age limit are applicable for SC/ST/OBC and specified categories, as mentioned in the official notice.
Educational Qualifications: To be eligible, candidates should possess one of the following qualifications:
- A degree in Engineering or its equivalent.
- Successful completion of Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India).
- Graduation from the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India) by passing the Graduate Membership Examination.
- Successful completion of Associate Membership Examination Parts II and III or Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India.
- Graduation from the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London, after November 1959.
- For specific positions such as Indian Naval Armament Service (Electronics Engineering Posts) and Engineer Group A in Wireless Planning & Coordination Wing/Monitoring Organisation, candidates may possess an M.Sc. Degree or its equivalent with a specialization in Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics, or Radio Engineering.
Candidates who clear the written examination will be invited for a personality test.
Physical Standards: Applicants must meet the physical fitness requirements outlined in the recruitment notice.
