Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) is inviting online applications for the 350+ post of veterinary officer (Grade-A) Jobs in the department of animal husbandry, fisheries and dairy development under the Government of Punjab. Interested graduate candidates can apply for this Govt Jobs vacancy from 19th December 2021. PPSC Veterinary Officer Salary Details

Shortlisted candidates for the post of Veterinary Officer (Group A) are eligible to get a salary of Rs. 47,600/- per month from the respective board. This pay is considered as Initial Pay. Fixed emolument equal to Minimum Pay without any allowance will be paid during the probation period of 3 years.

PPSC Veterinary Officer Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria are as follows:

Nationality

The candidate must be either

1. A Citizen of India or
2. A subject of Nepal or
3. A subject of Bhutan or
4. A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
5. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of Punjab in the Department of Home Affairs and Justice.

Educational Qualification

The educational qualifications of the veterinary officer are as follows:

• The candidate should possess Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry from a University recognized by the Veterinary Council of India, and
• The candidate should be registered with the Punjab Veterinary Council.
• Matric in Punjabi language or its equivalent standard is essential.
• The candidates MUST possess the requisite qualification before or by 10th December 2021.

Age Limit (as of 01/01/2021)

Candidate age limit should not be below 18 years and above 37 years of age as on 01.01.2021 is mandatory. Candidate age relaxation for Government employees is 45 years, for SC and BC candidates 42 years, for Widows, Divorcees and certain other Categories.
