South East Central Railway (SECR), Department of Personnel, Raipur Division, has published a notice for recruitment to the post of Trade Apprentice under the Apprentices Act 1961 in Bilaspur Division of South East Central Railway on its official website. Advertisement No: P/BSP/Act Apprentice/Notification/2022-23. The vacancies are available for various trades such as Carpenter, COPA, Draftsman (Civil), Electrician, Electronics, Fitter, Mechanic, Painter, Plumber, Machinist, Sheet Metal Work, Steno, Turner, Welder, Wireman, Gas Cutter and Digital Photographer. SECR Recruitment Application Fee:

  •  As per the Apprentices Act -1961 Rules.

Eligibility Condition- SECR Apprentice Vacancy

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants who are completed the 10th class examination under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent with a minimum of 50 % (aggregate) marks.
  • ITI course in relevant trade from recognized institutions.

Age Limit for Trade Apprentices in SECR Jobs:

  • Minimum Age Limit – 15 years
  • Maximum Age Limit – 24 years

SECR Trade Apprentices Selection Process:

  • On Merit Basis
  • Document Verification
  • Medical Examination
  • Selected candidates will be engaged as apprentices and they will undergo apprenticeship training for a period of 1 year for each trade. They will be paid a stipend during their training as per the rules of the State Government of Chhattisgarh. Their training will be terminated after the completion of their apprenticeship.

Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Western Railway (WR), Mumbai has 3612 vacant posts of apprentices for training in the designated Trades under the Apprentice Act 1961 at various Divisions, Workshops within the jurisdiction of Western Railways for the year 2022-23. Western Railway Apprentice Recruitment drive will be done for the vacancies of Fitter, Welder (G&E, Turner, Machinist, Carpenter, Painter (General), Mechanic (DSL), Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Programming & System Administration Assistant, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Wireman, Mechanic Refrigeration & AC, Mechanic LT & Cable, Pipe Fitter, Plumber, Draftsman (Civil) and Stenographer. “Engineering Graduates and Diploma holders are not eligible to apply for Apprenticeship in response to this notification as they are governed by a separate scheme of Apprenticeship. The online registration process will start by 28 May 2022 to 27th June 2022.

Non-Executive Academic Qualification : Candidates should complete 3 years Diploma in relevant field/respective disciplines of Engineering from Govt. recognized university or Board.

Apprentice  Academic Qualification : Candidates should complete ITI, Diploma, Degree in B. Com, BBA, BA from recognized university or Board.

  • Reservation of positions will be followed as per Government of India Policy on SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories, as applicable for the engagement of Apprentices under The Apprentices Act, 1961 as amended.
