INDIAN NAVY 10+2 TECHNICAL CADET ENTRY SCHEME JULY 2022 BATCH

Indian Navy 10+2 (Technical) Cadet (B.Tech.) July 2022 Entry Details

  • Vacancies: 35 posts (Education Branch-05, Executive & Technical Branch-30)
  • Age: Between 17 to 19 and 1/2 years (candidates to be born between  02 July 2001 and 01 January 2004  both dates inclusive)
  • Educational Qualifications: Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 pattern) or it’s equivalent from University/ Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English either in class X or class XII.
  • Physical Standards: Height and Weight: Minimum height Male – 157 cms, with correlated weight. EyeSight – The minimum acceptable standard for distant vision 6/12, 6/12 correctable to 6/6 with glasses. Should not be colour/night blind.
  • Starting Pay Scale: Pay Level-10 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix ₹56100-11070 (Earlier ₹15600-39100 grade pay ₹5400 plus MSP ₹6000/-)

Selection Process for Indian Navy 10+2 Btech Entry 2022

Shortlisting of Applications: Indian Navy reserves the right to fix the cut off for shortlisting of applications for SSB based on JEE (Main) All India Common Rank List 2021 (for B.E./B.Tech.). All candidates are required to fill their ranks as per the Common Rank List in the application. SSB interviews for shortlisted candidates will be scheduled at Bangalore / Bhopal / Kolkata / Visakhapatnam from March – April 2022.

SSB Interview: SSB interview will be conducted in two stages. Stage I Screening test consists of Intelligence test, Picture Perception and Group Discussion. Candidates who fail to qualify in Stage I will be routed back on the same day. Stage II test comprises Psychological testing, Personal Interview and Group testing which will last for 04 days. Successful candidates will thereafter undergo Medical Examination (approx. duration 3-5 working days).

Merit List: Separate Merit List for Education Branch and Executive and Technical Branch (in combined) will be prepared based on SSB marks. Candidates declared fit in the medical examination will be appointed as per availability of vacancies in the respective branch.

iii. Secondary School Certificate (SSC)/ 10th Standard/ SSC or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and ITI certificate or National/ State trade certificate in Electrician. Or SSC/ 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and 2 years full time experience as an apprentice trainee from a recognized Institution in Electrician trade.

iv. Or SSC/ 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and 3 years of work experience in Electrician trade in a Ministry/ Department/ Organization/ Public sector undertaking/ Autonomous Body under Government of India/ State/ UT

Job Requirement:

i. Repair and maintenance of Refrigeration and Air condition equipment such as window AC, split ACs, water coolers, desert coolers, refrigerators etc. Operation and maintenance of Central AC Plants, Package type AC units. Technical support in electrical division of the Institute.

ii. Repair and maintenance of electrical installations; Repair and maintenance of electrical control of workshop machines, water pumps, starter controls. Operation and maintenance of switchgears. LT /HT overhead lines repairs and maintenance. Technical support to the electrical division of the Institute.

iii. Normal and emergent plumbing and related work (even in odd hours) in Institute and Colony. Repair and maintenance works for all Job complaints of Plumbing/CI/Drainage and sewerage lines of Institute/ Colony. Plumbering support to the civil division of the Institute.

iv. Construction related works such as foundation works, stone and brick masonry, Reinforcement Cement Concrete (RCC) work, flooring, water proofing treatment & different type of plaster works, etc. Building construction support to the civil division of the Institute.

v. Machining of Jobs by Milling, Turing & Grinding Manufacturing of blanking die set for square/ round/ rectangular/ elliptical components. Construct a piercing blanking tool. Manufacturing of fixtures. Technical support to the central workshop division of the Institute.

Selection Procedure

1. The candidates as recommended by the Screening Committee will be invited for Trade Test. Those who qualify in the Trade Test will be invited for a competitive written examination. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the competitive written examination.

2. For these posts, there will be three papers (Paper-I, Paper-II & Paper-III). Paper-II & Paper-III will be evaluated only for those candidates who secure the minimum threshold marks (to be determined by the Selection Committee) in Paper-I. The Final merit list will be prepared only on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidates in Paper-II & Paper-III.

3. Selection Procedure for the Technical Assistant
